A bibliophile and YA addict stuck in the awkward stage of becoming an "adult"

1984

1984 - George Orwell, Erich Fromm A very different concept and plot, but I loved this book. Winston Smith is a true example of a human being, full of fear and rebellion and longing. However, be prepared for a realistic ending, not a happy one. But if nothing else, this book taught me to love George Orwell.

My only misgiving: Some sections carry on endlessly about government styles and philosophies which may bore some readers. I stuck it out, but at times had to stop myself from falling asleep. You have been warned.
